Nigerian Navy Disowns Fake 2026 Batch 39 Recruitment Notice

The Nigerian Navy has disowned a recruitment notice circulating on social media platforms, purportedly announcing the 2026 Batch 39 recruitment exercise.

The Navy, in a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Naval Information, Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, described the circulating notice as unofficial and unauthorised, urging members of the public to disregard it.

According to the Navy, prospective applicants should exercise caution and avoid relying on recruitment information obtained from unofficial social media accounts, websites or other sources.

It stressed that authentic information on Nigerian Navy recruitment, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines and recruitment categories, would only be communicated through authorised Nigerian Navy channels.

The Navy identified its official recruitment website as http://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng, while https://navy.mil.ng remained its official website.

The naval authorities also warned prospective applicants against making payments to individuals, agents or unauthorised platforms in connection with recruitment, stressing that the exercise is free of charge.

The statement further clarified that the Nigerian Navy does not authorise third parties to recruit applicants or collect recruitment fees on its behalf.

The Navy reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent and credible recruitment process, assuring the public that timely and accurate information would continue to be provided through its official communication channels.
