President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded to the Senate the names of three non-career ambassadors nominated to represent Nigeria in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.   The nominees are Ambassador Ayodele Oke, Retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are, and Ambassador Amin Mohammed Dalhatu. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a national security emergency, directing an immediate large-scale recruitment drive across Nigeria’s security agencies to tackle rising threats across the country.   In a State House statement issued on Wednesday, the President authorised the Nigeria Police Force to recruit an additional 20,000 personnel, raising the total new intake to 50,000 officers.
