The Defence Headquarters on Saturday commemorated the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day with a Golf Kitty held at the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja. Pro-Democracy group slams Fubara for disrespecting Tinubu, demands resignation

Amid the ongoing impeachment process against Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, a pro-democracy and accountability group, the National Vanguard for Accountable and Transparent Democracy (NVATD), has called on the governor to resign honourably, warning that his actions have plunged the state into political instability. The call followed the decision of 26 out of the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to sign an impeachment notice against the governor.
