The Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Dr. Adamu Abubakar Dabban, has received a Double Award of Excellence from two youth-focused organisations in recognition of his leadership, commitment to good governance and contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural development.
The awards were presented to Dabban by the Nigeria Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance and the Northern Youth Forum for Responsive Governance.
The organisations said the recognition was in appreciation of what they described as Dabban’s outstanding leadership, dedication to good governance and efforts to advance agricultural development in the country.
The double honour also reflects growing recognition of institutional efforts aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s agricultural research and development ecosystem, particularly in support of the country’s food and agricultural priorities.
Receiving the awards, Dabban expressed appreciation to the organisations for the recognition, saying such honours provide additional encouragement to remain committed to the responsibilities entrusted to him and to the broader objective of advancing agricultural development.
The recognition comes as the ARCN continues to coordinate and promote agricultural research and development as part of efforts to support Nigeria’s food security and agricultural transformation agenda.
Dabban was congratulated on the double honour, which underscored the recognition of his leadership and contribution to the agricultural research sector.
