Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
BASA described the outcome as a reflection of the people’s mandate, commending the people of Osun State for peacefully exercising their democratic rights and actively participating in the electoral process.
She said the election underscored the importance of citizens’ participation in democracy and reaffirmed that the will of the people must prevail through the ballot.
The PDP candidate also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, political parties and other stakeholders for their contributions towards ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
BASA urged political leaders and stakeholders to sustain efforts towards promoting credible, peaceful and transparent elections, stressing the need to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
She congratulated Governor Adeleke and the people of Osun State on the outcome, describing the victory as a significant moment for democratic participation and good governance.
