CAS Engages Senior NAF Leaders on Operational Effectiveness, Personnel Welfare

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has held an open and candid engagement with senior Nigerian Air Force (NAF) leaders, comprising Group Captains and Air Commodores, as part of efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen the Service’s capacity to respond to evolving security challenges.

The informal engagement provided a relaxed but purposeful platform for senior officers to exchange views on critical issues affecting the NAF, including ongoing operations, training, professional development, personnel welfare, leadership and logistics.

During the interaction, the senior leaders shared perspectives on operational challenges and explored practical measures to improve the Service’s ability to effectively deliver on its constitutional mandate.

The dialogue also provided an opportunity to identify areas requiring greater attention while encouraging collective problem-solving and stronger collaboration among senior commanders.

Air Marshal Aneke’s engagement underscores his commitment to participatory leadership, continuous feedback and collective responsibility in the management of the Service.

The CAS emphasised the importance of maintaining a cohesive and professional force capable of delivering decisive air power in support of national security and the protection of Nigerians.

The engagement is expected to further strengthen communication between the Service’s senior leadership and reinforce a shared commitment to operational excellence, personnel development and mission success.
