CAS Joins NAF Personnel for Lunch, Strengthens Camaraderie at Headquarters

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on Friday, 2 October 2026, joined officers, airmen and airwomen for lunch at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Abuja, in an engagement aimed at strengthening camaraderie and promoting personnel welfare.

The informal interaction saw the CAS sit among personnel, share a meal and engage them in relaxed conversations, temporarily setting aside the usual formalities associated with military command.

The lunch is part of a daily welfare initiative introduced by the CAS, under which lunch is made available to NAF personnel at the Headquarters, encouraging them to take a break from their demanding schedules and interact in a relaxed environment.

Beyond providing nourishment, the initiative creates an opportunity for personnel across different levels to interact, build stronger relationships and refresh themselves before returning to their duties.

The engagement also underscored the NAF leadership’s emphasis on personnel welfare and accessible leadership, recognising that a strong and mission-ready force depends not only on training and operational capability but also on cohesion and trust among its personnel.

Through such informal engagements, the NAF continues to promote a culture of togetherness and shared responsibility as its personnel remain committed to protecting Nigeria and its people.
