The suspects were arrested on August 27, 2026, while allegedly attempting to escape with the abducted child, identified as Ummi Mariam Abdullah.

According to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects were apprehended following a tip-off from a concerned member of the community who witnessed the incident and promptly alerted the Police.
