FCT Police Reunite Missing Six-Year-Old Haneem Hussaini Bello With Grandmother

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully reunited six-year-old Haneem Hussaini Bello with his grandmother, barely a day after he was found wandering around the NNPC Towers in Abuja.

Haneem was found on Friday, September 4, 2026, around the Central Business District and was subsequently taken into police care as the Command appealed to members of the public to assist in identifying his family.

According to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the appeal yielded positive results as the child’s grandmother, who had been with him before he became separated from his family, was identified and contacted.

Adeh said that following due verification, Haneem was safely reunited with his grandmother on Saturday, September 5.

The Police Command expressed appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation, support and timely information, noting that the collective efforts of the Police and the public facilitated the identification of the child’s family and his safe return to his loved one.

The Command also urged members of the public to continue supporting law enforcement agencies by promptly providing useful information in cases involving missing or vulnerable persons.
