The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has congratulated the Olowo of Owo, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye II, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, praising the monarch’s commitment to peace, security and community development.
The IGP was represented at the celebration on Sunday by the Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, who conveyed the Inspector-General’s warm felicitations and best wishes to the revered traditional ruler.
Speaking at the event, CP Ohagwu commended the Olowo of Owo for his unwavering dedication to promoting peace, security and community engagement, describing the monarch as a dependable partner in advancing effective policing in the kingdom.
He noted that the traditional ruler has continued to play a vital role in strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and residents of Owo, thereby supporting efforts to combat crime and other forms of criminality in the area.
The Nigeria Police Force also prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, wisdom and a peaceful, prosperous reign as he marks the milestone age of 60.
