The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), Abuja Chapter, has celebrated the return of Ibrahim Nuru Khalid, son of prominent Islamic cleric and Senior Digital Imam, Imam Nuru Khalid, to his family home in Karu, Abuja.
According to the Abuja chapter of MURIC, Ibrahim returned home on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in what the organisation described as a joyful development for his family and the wider Muslim community.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Ustaz Yunus Salahudeen, and the Public Relations Officer, Lukman Leleye Babalola, MURIC said Ibrahim had faced circumstances that took him away from the Islamic faith but had now returned fully to Islam.
The organisation said it had engaged Imam Nuru Khalid in a one-on-one discussion the previous week, during which it expressed sympathy with the family over what it described as the challenges they had experienced and prayed for guidance and mercy for Ibrahim.
MURIC Abuja Chapter said Ibrahim’s return was a reminder that guidance belongs to Allah, while expressing hope that he would remain steadfast in his faith and become a source of joy to his family and the wider Muslim community.
The organisation also called on Muslims to see the development as an opportunity for reflection, particularly on the importance of guidance and support for young people facing difficult circumstances.
“We pray that Allah keeps Ibrahim firm upon the Deen, forgive his shortcomings and make him a source of joy and pride to his family and the Ummah,” the statement said.
MURIC further prayed that Allah would teach Muslims what is beneficial and make it beneficial for them in this world and the Hereafter.
