The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Mutiu Olawuyi on his recognition as Media Ambassador for African Immigrants in the United States of America.
The award, presented by the African Immigrants’ Commission of New York and Connecticut, recognises Olawuyi’s leadership, community service, integrity and contributions to the African immigrant community.
In a statement issued on Monday by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head, Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, NiDCOM, Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa described the recognition as well deserved, saying it reflects Olawuyi’s sustained commitment to community development and his efforts to promote the interests and achievements of Africans in the diaspora.
The NiDCOM boss also congratulated Olawuyi on a City Council Citation presented in his honour by New York City Council Member Amanda Farías.
She described the two recognitions as further evidence of Olawuyi’s positive impact and contributions to the community, particularly his efforts towards advancing the interests of African immigrants.
Dabiri-Erewa wished Olawuyi continued success and encouraged him to sustain his efforts in promoting the interests and welfare of Nigerians and Africans in the diaspora.
