The Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Prof. Matthew Olumide Adepoju, has urged Nigerians, particularly the youth, to remain hopeful, patriotic and committed to the Nigerian project as the country celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Adepoju, in his goodwill message to Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, called on citizens to have faith in the country and position themselves to harness the vast opportunities emerging in space science and technology.
The NASRDA boss also saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, for their leadership and support for the development of Nigeria’s space sector.
He urged Nigerians, especially young people, to remain optimistic about the future and take advantage of opportunities in space science and technology to contribute to national development.
According to him, the future of space is “ubiquitous” present everywhere and filled with limitless opportunities for those who dare to dream.
Adepoju further commended members of the NASRDA Governing Board, Management and staff, as well as the Agency’s partners across the world, for their dedication and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s space programme.
He expressed optimism that sustained commitment, innovation and collaboration would further strengthen the country’s capacity in space science and technology.
The NASRDA DG prayed for peace, unity and sustained progress for Nigeria, while wishing all Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Anniversary.
He concluded with a prayer for the nation, saying: “God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
