Zone 7 said it would continue to prioritise crime prevention and detection, the protection of critical infrastructure, maintenance of law and order, and the strengthening of public trust in the Police.
The Command also called on Nigerians to embrace security as a shared responsibility by remaining vigilant, respecting the law and rejecting misinformation.
It urged citizens to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station, stressing that effective policing and responsible citizenship were essential to building peaceful and secure communities.
The statement further emphasised the importance of strong partnerships between the Police and the communities they serve in tackling security challenges and safeguarding lives and property.
