The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has continued its 2026 Human Resource Sensitisation Week and Professional Day Celebration with a dedicated session for administrative officers at the agency’s headquarters.
The second day of the programme focused on strengthening the capacity of administrative officers, who play a critical role in supporting NITDA’s day-to-day operations, coordination and service delivery.
A major highlight of the session was a workshop on the T-shaped HR competency model, which exposed participants to the combination of broad workplace knowledge and specialised professional skills required in today’s evolving work environment.
The programme also featured a keynote presentation on the changing role of human resource management in the digital era, with emphasis on the growing influence of technology, evolving workforce expectations and emerging approaches to workplace operations.
Declaring the session open, the Director of Human Resource Management, Mr. Sarafa A. Lawal, said the responsibilities of administrative officers go beyond routine assignments to include supporting the people, processes and decisions that contribute to the agency’s overall effectiveness.
Lawal urged the participants to prioritise continuous self-development, embrace technology and strengthen their professional competencies to remain responsive to the changing needs of NITDA and its stakeholders.
He also encouraged participants to actively engage with the facilitators through questions and experience-sharing, stressing that such interaction would help maximise the benefits of the sensitisation programme.
The 2026 Human Resource Sensitisation Week and Professional Day Celebration is part of NITDA’s efforts to enhance staff capacity and promote continuous professional development within the agency.
