Two professionals from NNPC Exploration and Production (E&P) Limited have been honoured with prestigious awards at the Dinner and Awards Night of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE) 2026 held in Lagos, in recognition of their outstanding technical expertise, leadership, and service to the petroleum industry.
Oduyemi Olawunmi received the Prof. Michael Onyekonwu Reservoir Description and Dynamics Award, which recognises exceptional technical contributions in reservoir description and dynamics. The award celebrates excellence in advancing petroleum reservoir management and promoting sustainable hydrocarbon recovery.
Also honoured was Mark Ibrahim, who won the Dr. Pringle Egbe Young Professional Service Award, presented to Young Professional members of the Society under the age of 35 who have distinguished themselves through exemplary leadership, community impact, and volunteer service to the profession.
The recognition of the two NNPC E&P professionals underscores the company’s commitment to fostering technical excellence, innovation, and leadership within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
