The Management of Sigvent Industrial Cluster Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to transforming Ogbomoso into a premium investment destination through the development of an industrial cluster along the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Benjamin Onigbinde, said the project was designed to create community wealth, generate sustainable employment opportunities and improve safety through increased economic activities.
Speaking in Ogbomoso, Onigbinde said the industrial cluster was conceived as an integrated ecosystem that would attract manufacturers, investors and small and medium-scale enterprises while creating opportunities for businesses and residents within the community.
“We’re building an ecosystem. Ogbomoso is a premium destination for investment, and we’re keeping it SAFE — Secure, Accessible, Functional, and Economically viable. Sigvent Industrial Cluster is our intervention to move from advocacy to innovation,” he said.
According to him, the company’s model is centred on community wealth creation, with the industrial cluster expected to stimulate businesses and services around manufacturing activities.
He explained that factories would require supporting services such as packaging, transportation, food vending and technical services, thereby creating a wider network of economic opportunities for residents.
“Our model is Community Wealth. When a factory opens, it needs packaging, transport, food vendors, and technicians. Our SME factories are deliberately clustered around anchors so that wealth stays within Ogbomoso,” Onigbinde said.
He added that the project would also provide opportunities for youth engagement and contribute to improved security, noting that increased legitimate economic activity could strengthen safety within the community.
The Sigvent Industrial Cluster management subsequently called on investors, manufacturers and SME operators to partner with the initiative under its drive to promote industrial growth and economic opportunities in Ogbomoso.
The company urged prospective partners to “Engage, Invest, and Collaborate for African Growth,” describing the initiative as a transition “From Advocacy to Innovation.”
