‘Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has lost his second term bid to Senator Aishat Binani of the All Progressives Congress.   Binani was declared winner of the election after polling 409,909 votes ahead of the incumbent governor, Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party,who scored 406,617 votes.   Binani who currently representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District,made history as the first female elected governor in Nigerian politics.
