TCN Restores Power After Planned Outage at Apo Transmission Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored power supply following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation.

TCN, in a statement issued on Sunday, said power supply was successfully restored at 4:08 p.m. after its technical team completed work to address a fault affecting Apo Lines 1 and 2 between Towers T130 and T132.

According to the company, the outage was necessary to enable engineers carry out repairs and successfully complete the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) latching on the two 132kV Apo transmission lines.

TCN said the completion of the maintenance work enabled the full restoration of electricity supply to affected customers.

The company expressed appreciation to electricity consumers for their patience and understanding during the period of the outage.

TCN reiterated its commitment to maintaining a reliable and efficient transmission network towards improving electricity supply across the country.
