16 killed in Abia pipeline explosion

The pipeline explosions in Abia State on Friday that caused the death of at least 16 people may have been caused by oil thieves, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said on Friday. The Senate Committee on Appropriation has approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for the virement of N242 billion under the 2018 Appropriation Act to conduct the 2019 general elections.
