A former Governor of Oyo state Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly Senator Abdulfatai Buhari and Lawmaker representing Surulere\ Ogo Oluwa Federal constituency yesterday held a closed door meeting in Ogbomoso.
The meeting which was held at the former governor’s house in Ogbomoso was based on how to bring the All Progressives Congress APC in Ogbomoso and Oyo state under one umbrella ahead of 2023 election.
Akala’s led re conciliatory committee have been meeting aggrieved party members with the intention of bring them back into the party.
Senator Abdulfata Buhari confirmed the effectiveness of the re-conciliatory team in an interview recently when he said they are working and he also advised them to be genuine and not bias in discharging their responsibilities
In a similar development, the peoples Democratic Party PDP in Oyo state is also extending olive branch to some members of the APC and other party in the state
An inside source hinted that some of the stalwart in APC and other parties are already planning to decamp to PDP
Akeem Olatunji, the publicity secretary of the PDP when contacted said Seyi Makinde’s good work and their penchant for good governance which is going on in the state is attracting them into the party
