MURIC faults suspension of 15% fuel import tariff, says policy threatens economic growth

PTAD disburses N3.9bn arrears to 91,146 Pensioners under DBS

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has disbursed N3.9 billion in arrears to 91,146 eligible pensioners under the Federal Government’s Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS), fulfilling the N32,000 pension increment approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.   PTAD’s Head of Corporate Communications, Olugbenga Ajayi, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday, noted that the payment covered pensioners across all four major departments under the scheme.   According to the breakdown, the Parastatals Pension Department accounted for the largest share, with N1.9 billion paid to 59,865 beneficiaries.
