President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate withdrawal of police officers attached to Very Important Persons (VIPs) nationwide, directing that they return to core policing responsibilities. Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed the directive in a statement on Sunday following a high-level security meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Nigeria’s security forces for the successful rescue of dozens of abducted citizens in Kwara and Niger states, describing the operation as evidence of intensified nationwide security efforts.
