Customs extends deadline for migration to Authorised Economic Operator Scheme

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has extended the deadline for all beneficiaries under the Fast Track Scheme to migrate to the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Programme. Customs, NDLEA intercept 1,187kg of Canadian loud at Apapa Port

Barely five days after uncovering 25.5kg of cocaine on a Brazilian-flagged vessel, operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have recorded another major interception at the Apapa Port this time seizing 1,187kg of Canadian Loud, a high-grade strain of cannabis. TGF proposes new ministry to unify Nigeria’s internal security agencies

The Transformative Governance Forum (TGF) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to approve a far-reaching restructuring of Nigeria’s internal security architecture through the establishment of a Ministry of Internal Security and Public Safety (MISPS).   The recommendation is contained in TGF’s maiden policy advisory submitted to the President in December 2025.
