MAPOLY Alumni celebrates Dr. Jolaoso’s appointment as Rector

The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Muslim Alumni Association (MAPAMA) has praised the appointment of Architect (Dr.) Adekoyejo Babatunde Jolaoso as the new Rector of the institution. The association expressed confidence in his ability to lead MAPOLY to greater heights, citing his exceptional academic qualifications, extensive experience, and dedication to excellence.

 

In a press statement signed by Tajudeen Balogun, Head of MAPAMA’s Media and Publicity Committee, on behalf of the National President, Prince Taofeek Oyeniyi, the association commended Dr. Jolaoso’s dedication, brilliance, and productivity, describing his selection as a testament to his competence.

 

The statement highlighted Dr. Jolaoso’s academic journey, beginning with his secondary education at Egba Comprehensive High School, Asero, and progressing to the then Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where he earned his National Diploma (1985) and Higher National Diploma (1988) in Architecture. He furthered his education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the Federal University of Technology, Akure, culminating in a Ph.D. in Architecture in 2018.

 

Dr. Jolaoso joined MAPOLY as a lecturer in 1994 and has since made significant contributions, serving as the Director of the School of Environmental Studies and Head of the Department of Architecture. He is also a distinguished scholar with over 70 academic publications and a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Architects and the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

 

MAPAMA expressed optimism about a “new dawn” at MAPOLY under Dr. Jolaoso’s leadership, anticipating monumental academic and infrastructural progress.

 

The association congratulated the Rector on behalf of its members worldwide and wished him a peaceful and successful tenure.

 

Dr. Jolaoso’s appointment, approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun, mark the beginning of what many hope will be a transformative era for MAPOLY.
