The Abuja Muslim Forum AMF, in her weekly Thursday Ta’alim at the National Mosque, rejoiced with Muslims over the victory given to Asiwaju Ahmad Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
The AMF Amir, Barrister (Ustadh) Luqman Jami’u Ahmad expressed his joy with the turnout of Muslims in Nigeria to vote the well-deserved candidate as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In his Ta’lim sermon delivered at the Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF) Thursday Ta’lim held 2nd March, 2023,the Guest Speaker,Dr. Abdulkabir Aliyu enjoined Muslims to be conscious of Allah (SWT) in all their endeavours as “Taqwa” (piety of Allah) is the only instrument to be successful in this life and hereafter. He further revealed how the Almighty Allah (SWT) associated piety of Him with many successes in the glorious Qur’an. He laid emphasis that nothing will be achieved in life positively without having relation with piety and no Muslim will be pleased with and inherit the marvelous paradise without associating all his deeds with piety of Allah.
In his own contribution, the AMF Naibul Amir, Engr. (Imam) Muhammad Umar Cekpa illustrated how Allah (SWT) associated piety with most of the socio-religious aspects of life in terms of marriage, divorce, Solah (prayer), Ramadan (fasting) and Hajj (pilgrimage).
“This means that Taqwa (piety) is the rudimental foundation of Islam” Imam Cekpa said. He also urged the Muslims to be conscious of their actions in the society and put fear of Allah (SWT) in all their deeds.
A prayer section was held for the successful conduct of just concluded 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
In his prayer, Dr. Uthman Mustapha Kannike expressed his happiness with the less occurrence of violence during and after the elections nationwide against the anticipation of many ahead of it. He further prayed Almighty (SWT) to guide the President-Elect, Senator Ahmad Bola Tinubu to the policies that will make developmental growth to the nation.
In his further remarks, Barrister Ahmad charged Muslims especially those in Abuja to give more commitments towards the development of the forum in all aspects and really appreciated their collective efforts towards the peaceful and transparent 2023 presidential elections.
“We should continuously pursue peace and unity for the development of this country” said Bar. Ahmad.
A member of the forum,Ustadh Idris Ibrahim revealed that Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF) in collaboration with Abuja National Mosque Da’wah and Welfare Foundation and other organisations is planning to organize a full fledged prayer for Nigeria and the new incoming administration.
