Adepoju storms Abuja for Three-Day global Islamic lecture

Renowned Islamic scholar, Mallam Yusuf Olatunde Adepoju, is set to lead a three-day Islamic lecture in Abuja focusing on the challenges and opportunities confronting the Islamic world in the 21st century.

The programme, organised by the Salam Salam Islamic Society of Nigeria (Abuja Branch) in collaboration with the Academy of Islamic Propagation (ACADIP Nigeria), will hold from February 5 to 7, 2026, at Piwoyi Field, Airport Road, Abuja.
Tagged “Global Lecture on Islamic World in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities,” the event is expected to bring together Islamic scholars, students, and members of the public for robust intellectual engagement and interfaith dialogue.
Speaking ahead of the lecture, the Founder of Salam Salam Islamic Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Dr. Abdulwahab Sanusi, described the programme as a rare platform for meaningful exchange.
“This lecture is a unique opportunity for Muslims and non-Muslims to come together to examine the challenges and opportunities facing the Islamic world in the 21st century. We are privileged to host such an esteemed scholar,” he said.
Also speaking, the Chairman and Amir of Salam Salam Islamic Society, Abuja Branch, Alhaji Abdulakeem Ayelabowo, said the organisation was excited to host what he described as a landmark gathering.

“We invite members of the public to come and benefit from the wealth of knowledge and insights that will be shared during the lecture,” he noted.
The organisers stated that the event is open to all, encouraging both Muslims and Christians to attend, ask questions, and engage in discussions, including issues relating to faith and salvation.
The lecture is expected to draw wide participation from within and outside Abuja.
