President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for what he described as two years of transformative and courageous leadership that has rekindled the hope of Nigerians for a viable and prosperous nation.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, to mark President Tinubu’s second year in office, Akpabio hailed the President’s bold reforms and inclusive governance, saying they have placed Nigeria on a sustainable path to development.
“Today, May 29, 2025, marks the second year anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. On behalf of the Nigerian Senate, the entire National Assembly, my family and constituents, I extend my warmest and profound congratulations to a visionary, courageous and transformative leader, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Akpabio said.
He noted that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda has begun yielding results, particularly in the areas of economic revival, infrastructure development, national security, and inclusive governance.
“Your bold initiatives and reforms, particularly in the areas of economic and fiscal policies, demonstrate your undying dedication to transforming Nigeria to its deserving greatness,” the Senate President added.
Akpabio highlighted the creation of development commissions in all geopolitical zones, and massive infrastructural projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Lagos-Maiduguri Road, as testaments to Tinubu’s development-focused leadership.
On security, he acknowledged progress in the fight against insurgency, banditry, and other criminal threats, praising the Nigerian Armed Forces for taking the battle to the doorsteps of criminal elements.
According to him, growing endorsements for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 are not a fluke, but a reflection of verifiable achievements and public trust in his leadership.
“The Senate remains committed to collaborating with the Executive arm under your dynamic leadership to ensure the continued success of your administration’s initiatives,” Akpabio assured.
He concluded by reaffirmed the National Assembly’s support for the President’s vision of a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria.
