Akpabio urges Nigerians to celebrate Christmas with Love and Unity

The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, love, and unity as they celebrate Christmas.

In a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, the Senate President described the festive period as a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration.

“In the spirit of the season, I encourage you all to spread love, kindness, and generosity. Let us remember those in need and offer a helping hand as much as possible,” Akpabio stated.

He urged Nigerians to reflect on the true essence of Christmas, which symbolizes peace, love, and unity, and allow these values to guide their efforts toward nation-building.

According to the Senate President, the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth is a reminder of His teachings on peace and generosity, making the season a time of joy and togetherness.

“This special time of the year is a moment for reflection, gratitude, and celebration,” Akpabio noted, adding, “May the values of Christmas inspire us to build a better Nigeria for all.”

Conveying his warmest wishes, Akpabio said, “On behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and indeed the National Assembly, I wish all Nigerians and their loved ones a joyous and merry Christmas filled with God’s abundant blessings.”
