APC mourns Director of Administration, Dr Raif Adekunle Adeniji ….. Shuts National Secretariat till Monday in honour of Late Administrator

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of its Director of Administration at the National Secretariat, Dr. Raif Adekunle Adeniji.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the death of Dr. Adeniji as a devastating loss to the party, especially considering his immense contributions to party administration and grassroots mobilisation.

Dr. Adeniji, a native of Ife Central Local Government Area of Osun State, was born on September 20, 1959. A devout Muslim, he was a family man, known for his humility and pragmatic leadership style.

Before his appointment as Director of Administration, Adeniji served as Assistant Registrar at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, and was later elected as Chairman of Ife Local Government Council under the APC platform.

Armed with a Ph.D. in Public Administration, he brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the party’s administrative machinery, overseeing the day-to-day operations at the National Secretariat.

The APC noted that Adeniji was a grassroots politician and a tireless campaigner who played a key role in the successes of the party in Osun State and at the national level, dated back to the days of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

In honour of the late party chieftain, the APC announced the closure of its National Secretariat until Monday, April 14, 2025. A condolence register has also been opened at the Secretariat to allow party members and stakeholders pay tribute.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his immediate family, the staff of the National Secretariat, the good people of Osun State, and the entire APC family over this devastating loss. We pray Almighty Allah to grant the late Adeniji Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.
