APC mourns with Jigawa Governor Over Loss of Mother and Son

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep condolences to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, following the tragic deaths of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Umar Namadi, and his son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, the party described the double loss as a devastating tragedy for the Governor and the people of Jigawa State.

Hajiya Maryam Umar Namadi, a respected matriarch and a source of inspiration within her family and community, passed away shortly before the death of the Governor’s 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab, a vibrant young man with a promising future.

“The loss of two family members in such circumstances is tragic, and the pain unimaginable. We join in fervent prayer that the Almighty Allah (SWT), in His mercies, grants His Excellency and his family the strength and succor to bear this huge loss,” the statement read.

The APC also extended its sympathy to the government and people of Jigawa State, urging them to rally around their Governor in this moment of grief.

Both Hajiya Maryam and Abdulwahab were described as exemplary individuals whose deaths have left a significant void in their family and community.

The APC prayed for the repose of their souls and asked Allah to grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
