Nasarawa State Commissioner for Women Affairs and social development Hajiya Aisha Rufai Ibrahim said plans have reached advanced stage to commence rehabilitation of Adudu – Azara road to ease movement of people, goods and services.
She stated this at a meeting with youths in Azara where she enumurated some of the achievements recorded in the area by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Rufai Ibrahim said arrangements were underway to commence rehabilitation work on the road project from Adudu to Azara, Wuse and Akiri among other communities as promised by Governor Sule
Hajiya Aisha Rufai maintained that, the road project when completed will ease transportation to urban centres and also boost socioeconomic activities and improve revenue base of the state.
Also speaking, the Overseer Azara Development Area, Alhaji Sadeeq Muhammad said the donation of five hundred KVA transformer and upgrading of Azara primary health care centre to General hospital will address health challenges and improve the living standard of people in the area.
He also lauded the development progress of Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura, House of Representatives member, Hassan Nalaraba and Chairman Awe local government council, Usman Umar in the area.
On his part, federal Commissioner, Public Complaint Commission, Alhaji Musa Hassan Ubandoma stressed the need for people of Azara development area to continue to support government policies and programmes in order to attract more state and federal projects to the area.
Earlier, Youth Chairman, Azara development area assured the State Government of their unalloyed support to leaders with people oriented programmes aimed at impacting positively on the lives of people.
Highlights of the event was endorsement of Governor Abdullahi Sule, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura, Hassan Nalaraba for another teams among others.
