The Permanent Secretary, Economic Affairs, SSG’s Office, Yahaya Babawachiko has bagged an award of excellence in recognition of his outstanding performance and contribution to the development of Bida Emirate Council in Niger State.
The award was part of activities to mark the celebration and recognition of illustrious sons of the Emirate was organized by the United Progressive Association (UPA).
Others who bagged the same award include Permanent Secretary, Transport, Dr. Imam, Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Executive Director, Cereals and Research Institute, Badeggi, Executive Director, Federal Medical Centre, Bida and General Manager, Rural Electrification Board.
In his remarks, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar disclosed that the Awardees have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and professions, therefore deserved to be honoured and celebrated.
The Etsu Nupe enjoined the recipients of the wards not to relent in their determination to take Bida Emirate to enviable heights and commended them for deserving this worthy award.
The Chairman of the occasion, the Honourable Commissioner of Finance, and Dangata Nupe, Zakari Abubakar applauded the contributions of the Awardees to the development of the society and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of United Progressive Association (UPA) and Sarkin Samari Nupe, Alhaji Bala Suleman stated that the recipients of the award were selected based on their outstanding contributions to society.
Responding on behalf of the Awardees, the Permanent Secretary, Economic Affairs, SSG’s Office, Yahaya Babawachiko expressed joy and happiness for the honour done to them by the organization, stressing that the Awards would no doubt spur them to do more.
