The Niger State Government has approved and ensured the prompt payment of March 2026 salaries to all civil servants across the state.
According to the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Obed Nana Nuhu, the gesture fully implemented as of 19 March 2026 is aimed at enabling workers to prepare adequately for the forthcoming Eid-el-fitri celebrations without financial difficulty.
He noted that the directive, under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, reflected a proactive governance approach focused on the welfare of workers and the timely payment of salaries as a fundamental obligation of government.
The statement further described the initiative as a demonstration of a people-oriented administration that prioritised the dignity and wellbeing of citizens, particularly during significant religious observances.
The government extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful and residents across Niger State, urged them to embrace unity, compassion, generosity, and peaceful coexistence during the festive period.
