The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has launched the second batch of its In-House Enforcement and Compliance Training for State Offices. The program was declared open by the Registrar-General/CEO, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, at the Nigerian Bar Association auditorium in Abuja.
The training, which gathered CAC officers from the 36 states of the federation, aims to enhance their proficiency in enforcement and inspection duties. Speaking during the opening session, Magaji urged participants to actively engage by asking questions, taking detailed notes, and fully immersing themselves in the sessions to improve compliance enforcement.
He outlined key focus areas of the training, including methodologies for handling unregistered businesses such as PoS operators, implementing legal and regulatory frameworks to address shell companies and opaque ownership structures, and ensuring proper disclosure of Persons with Significant Control (PSC).
Magaji stressed that the program is part of CAC’s broader efforts to strengthen its regulatory functions and ensure transparency in business operations across the country.
The five-day training, which commenced on Monday, January 20, 2025, will conclude on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
