The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) said it’s exploring ways to partner with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to enhance its ICT infrastructure.
The Registrar-General and CEO of the CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji stated this today while receiving the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, on a courtesy visit to his office.
Hussaini Magaji,said in a bid to further improve its operations and boost its enterprise registry solution, amongst others, the Commission was poised to partner with sister agencies with the requisite capacity.
The Registrar-General therefore expressed optimism that a mutual relationship with NASENI would go a long way in enhancing the Commission’s operations to the satisfaction of its valued customers and the public.
Responding, the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, said the agency is the only on-purpose-built intervention agency of the Federal Government under the Presidency.
Its mandate includes nurturing an appropriate and dynamic science and engineering infrastructure base for achieving home-initiated and home-sustained industrialization in Nigeria, Sulaiman Halilu said.
Other areas covered by it include the development of relevant processes, capital goods, and equipment necessary for job creation, national economic well-being, and progress.
He therefore revealed that it has just secured a foreign direct investment from a Chinese firm to cover electric vehicles, solar transformers, lithium batteries, and drones, in addition to setting up a national data centre to boost its operations.
CAC News reports that areas receiving NASENI’s intervention include Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT), Education, Intervention, Energy Intervention Mechatronics, Nanotechnology and Reverse Engineering amongst others.
