The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has partnered with the globally acclaimed Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) to enhance the capacity of its top executives through an intensive training and development programme.
The MIM, established over five decades ago, is renowned for promoting high standards of leadership and management across both public and private sectors, offering world-class professional education and networking platforms. It has reportedly trained over one million professionals and transformed more than 5,000 companies through its leadership excellence initiatives.
Leading a team of 11 senior executives to participate in the capacity-building programme, the Registrar-General/CEO of the Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, reaffirmed his commitment to improved performance, efficiency, and service delivery, in line with his strategic four-point agenda for the Commission.
The Registrar-General’s commitment to advancing corporate governance and the deployment of artificial intelligence has earned him recognition as an elected Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Management.
Speaking to CAC News, some of the participants expressed appreciation to the Commission’s leadership for prioritising executive development, describing the training as timely and essential for embracing innovation and responding to emerging global challenges.
Malaysia’s exceptional record in business reform and governance was highlighted as a key reason for the partnership. In 2020, the country was ranked 12th out of 190 nations in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index, reinforcing its position as a global model for effective regulatory practices.
