The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee have agreed to strengthen collaboration to ensure the seamless implementation of newly introduced tax laws in Nigeria.
This resolution was reached on Monday in Abuja during a meeting between the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer of the CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, and the Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele.
The meeting, held at Mr. Oyedele’s office, focused on building effective synergies between both institutions to support efficient execution of the tax reforms and enhance compliance across the corporate sector.
Both parties emphasised the importance of closer institutional cooperation and the need to streamline implementation mechanisms in order to achieve the objectives of the new tax laws and strengthen fiscal governance.
According to CAC News, the Registrar-General also used the occasion to unveil the Commission’s plans to mark its 35th anniversary, scheduled to commence on 9 February 2026.
The engagement underscored the Federal Government’s commitment to coordinated reforms aimed at improving Nigeria’s tax administration and business environment.
