Nigerians mourn as Veteran NTA Newscaster Aisha Bello dies in Abuja

Nigerians have mourned the passing on of a veteran newscaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Aisha Bello Mustapha.   According to reports, the broadcaster died in the early hours of Monday, December 11, 2023, at a hospital in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).   Aisha Bello was a former General Manager of NTA Parliament and a prominent newscaster on NTA Network between the 90s and 20s. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has officially declared Senator Hope Uzodinma, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the November 11th gubernatorial election in Imo state. The retuning officer, Prof Fashina Abayomi said the incumbent polled 540,308 votes while PDP and Labour Party came distant 2nd and 3rd respectively with 71503 votes and 64081 votes respectively. “That Uzodinma of the APC, having certified the provisions of the law is hereby returned elected,” he said.

Tinubu signs N2.1trn 2023 supplementary budget
