A yet-to-be-confirmed number of people have been trapped in a section of a two-storey residential building that collapsed in Abuja on Saturday morning.   It was gathered that the building located close to the popular Cupid Hotel on Cupid Road, Sultan Dasuki Way in the Kubwa area of Abuja.   It was originally known as Al-Hilal Hotel but was transformed to a hospital and most recently, a residential apartment.   Though emergency responders and security personnel were present at the scene of the incident, rescue efforts were met with delays…

The Federal Government has announced the suspension of duties, tariffs and taxes for the importation of some food items through land and sea borders.   The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, made this known during a press briefing at the National Press Centre, Abuja on Monday. A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde, is dead. Ibrahim Lamorde who retired as a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) died at the age of 61 in Egypt where he had travelled for medical treatment.
