FG DECLARES FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER, 2017 AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY TO MARK EID-EL-MAULUD CELEBRATION
The Federal Government has declared Friday, 1st December, 2017 as Public Holiday to mark the Eid-El-Maulud Celebration. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, Ph.D, CFR, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians to use the Eid-El-Maulud Celebration to pray for peace, progress and unity of the nation. The king of Morocco has called on all mosques in the country to pray for rain on Friday, amid a shortage threatening the country’s agriculture.
