Only 18 Years and Above can own SIM Card in Nigeria – NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC has restricted registering and owning a Subscriber Module Identification SIM card in Nigeria to only those above the age of 18. This is contained in a new policy initiative of the Nigerian Communications Commission . This decision is in line with the draft copy of the modified Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations published on the commission’s website.
