NCC announces completion Of NIN-SIM Linkage for All Phone Numbers
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed the successful completion of the National Identification Number (NIN) linkage to all phone numbers in the country. NCC begins Pre-Enforcement Action against Starlink over Price Hike
The Nigerian Communications Commission NCC said the decision by Starlink to unilaterally review its subscription packages upwards did not receive the approval of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). The action of the company according to the commission s contravened Sections 108 and 111 of the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA), 2003, and Starlink’s Licence Conditions regarding tariffs. The Commission has commenced pre-enforcement action against the company since 3rd of October, 2024.
