Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Adamu Ciroma is dead. According to Daily Trust, family sources said the elder statesman died in an Abuja hospital on Thursday after a protracted illness. The deceased, a former Managing Director of the New Nigerian Newspapers,was a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party, and also the finance minister during the first term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was 84 years old.
