CGC Adeniyi commiserates with Jigawa Governor over demise of Son, Mother

The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Umar Namadi, over the tragic loss of his mother and son.

 

In a statement issued on January 2, 2025, by Chief Superintendent of Customs Saidu Nuruddeen, Public Relations Officer of the Kano/Jigawa Command, it was disclosed that a delegation led by Comptroller Dauda Chana, Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Command, visited the Governor at the Government House, Dutse, to convey the sympathies of the CGC and the entire Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

 

The delegation expressed profound sorrow, offered prayers and words of comfort to the Governor and his family during this difficult time.

The statement read in part: “The Nigeria Customs Service stands in solidarity with Governor Namadi and the people of Jigawa State in this moment of grief. We pray for strength and resilience for the Governor and his family.”

 

In his response, Governor Umar Namadi expressed deep appreciation for the visit and the words of comfort from the NCS. He acknowledged the show of solidarity and support, which he said would remain a source of strength for him and his family.
