Christmas Celebrations : FCT Police conduct strategic border patrols

On the eve of Christmas, Tuesday, 24th December 2025, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police CP Miller G. Dantawaye, carried out strategic patrols in key border and fringe communities to ensure a safe and peaceful festive season.
The patrol covered Kawu, home to 36 villages, as well as Igwu, Tokolo, Pannannake, Kaudashi, Kikumi, Sabon Kawu, Karaku, Gaba, and Zuma I and II villages. CP Dantawaye engaged community leaders, including the District Head of Kawu, HRH Abdulrahman Dan Juma Ali, to assess security concerns and enhance collaboration with local stakeholders.
The operation aimed to reassure residents of the police’s readiness to protect lives and property, enhance police visibility, deter criminal activity, and strengthen intelligence-led policing ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
CP Dantawaye directed officers to remain vigilant, professional, and responsive, while urging residents to report suspicious activities through the FCT Police emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08061581938.
SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, in a release confirmed that the patrols are part of ongoing efforts to ensure a secure festive season across the FCT.
