CNS, Navy Personnel observe Eid Prayers at Naval Base parade ground

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, on Friday joined officers, ratings, and civilian staff of the Nigerian Navy for special Eid prayers held at the Naval Base Parade Ground.

The prayer session, which marked the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, was conducted in a solemn atmosphere of devotion, gratitude, and reflection, with personnel gathering in unity to observe the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

During the prayers, supplications were offered for peace, national unity, and continued success in naval operations across the country. The gathering also served as a moment of spiritual renewal for personnel, reinforcing values of discipline and commitment.

Speaking after the prayers, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas commended officers and ratings for their dedication throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He urged them to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, patience, tolerance, and self-discipline imbibed during the fasting period, emphasizing their importance in both personal conduct and professional duties.

The Imam who led the Eid prayers also charged personnel to remain steadfast in upholding the moral and ethical lessons of Ramadan. He called on them to continue fostering unity, discipline, and dedication in service to the nation.
