Confusion broke out at Araromi Ilogbo Secondary School in Oko Afo, Lagos State, as students of the school staged a protest over the death of one of their classmates, who was reportedly flogged to death by a teacher.
The incident was said to have occurred on Thursday when the deceased, identified as master David Babadipo, was allegedly flogged by the teacher, Mr Oluwale.
Following the incident, the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
In a viral video, many pupils of the school could be seen running helter-skelter within the school premises.
A voice in the background could be heard recounting that the deceased pupil wanted to go out to buy something when he was allegedly flogged by the said teacher which unfortunately resulted to his death.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Command is yet to speak on the tragic incident.
