The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Wale Adeniyi, has received praise for his exceptional leadership in the fight against smuggling since his appointment. The commendation came from Ade Osijo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Historical Publishers International, during an unscheduled courtesy visit to the Nigeria Customs House in Abuja.
Osijo, in his visit, acknowledged the transformative impact of Adeniyi’s leadership in tackling smuggling and strengthening the operations of the NCS.
In response, Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer (NPRO) of the Nigeria Customs Service, expressed gratitude to Osijo for the letter of commendation sent in recognition of the CG’s achievements.
Maiwada emphasized that the responsibility of repositioning the NCS is a collective effort, with the leadership under Adeniyi working diligently to fulfill the mandate set by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The task is shared, and Mr. Adeniyi has more than proven himself capable of meeting the President’s expectations,” Maiwada stated.
As part of the visit, Maiwada presented Osijo with copies of the NCS in-house magazine, which chronicle the achievements of the Customs Service under the leadership of Comptroller General Wale Adeniyi. “The achievements of my boss speak for themselves. His success story is indisputable,” Maiwada concluded.
