The Federal Capital Territory FCT Police Command has assured residents that safety of lives and property in the capital city remained top priority of the command.
The command gave this assurance following a reported case of face off between the Okada riders and residents of an Estate in the capital territory
The unrest followed a hit-and-run fatal motor/ motorcycle accident that occurred around Same Global Estate, Dakwo, Galadimawa, at about 1:30 pm today 29th May, 2022.
The Command in a statement signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Josephine Adeh assured residents that normalcy has been restored to the affected area.
The statement stated that FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Babaji Sunday, was on the ground with a heavy deployment of operatives for an on-the-spot assessment.
“It is imperative to equally state that contrary to information filtering about, no house was burnt”FCT Police said.
